SCANNED BUT NOT DEFINED
Lines in black, too clean to lie,
a silent scream beneath the dye.
They scan me in, they check me out, but never ask what I’m about.
I am not a price to pay,
nor product born of factory gray.
I wear this code upon my chest
a label, yes, but not the rest.
Beneath each stripe, a story hides,of stolen dreams and shifting tides.
Of names replaced with numbered tags, and rebels clothed in digital rags.
But still I walk, my head held high,a barcode printed on the sky.
Decode me not, I’m more than this.
I’m truth, I’m pain, I’m myth, I’m bliss.
